Navigating the world of social services is difficult for most patients, so the support of case management nurse is experts invaluable. These nurses are trained to know and understand a patient’s medical background, how the patient will pay for the hospitalization, how they will live when they are discharged, what sort of equipment they may need at home, and what sort of social programs they may qualify for, such as Medicaid.
